Designed for hormonal health
Mauve Active was born from a simple belief: women should never have to choose between high performance and hormonal safety.
For over a year, we tested fabric samples from mills around the world, searching for the perfect balance — a material that feels luxuriously soft, breathable, non-transparent, smooth against the skin, and naturally cooling, while still delivering reliable stretch and recovery.
Every fiber, dye, and finishing chemical was carefully analyzed to minimize exposure to endocrine disruptors. The result is our signature blend: 93% TENCEL™ Lyocell and 7% Roica® V550 bio-based degradable elastane.
This isn’t just another performance fabric. It’s activewear intentionally designed with hormonal health in mind — from the very first thread to the final garment.
-
Our fabrics are certified to the highest level of OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (Product Class I), the strictest category reserved for items with direct and prolonged skin contact.
This independent certification means every component — fabric, thread, labels, and trims — has been rigorously tested and found to be free from harmful levels of over 1,000 regulated substances, including heavy metals, formaldehyde, certain dyes, and PFAS.
The mill we partner with goes well beyond minimum certification requirements. They maintain full transparency by sharing the exact name and quantity of every chemical used at each stage of production. Their commitment to safety and traceability is reflected in their comprehensive list of certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OEKO-TEX STeP, and B Corp membership.
For us, safety is not a marketing claim — it is the foundation of every garment we create.
-
We chose TENCEL™ Lyocell as the foundation of our fabric because it delivers the performance women actually need — without the compromises found in most activewear.
Unlike conventional synthetics (like polyamide/nylon) used by many high-end brands, which shed microplastics with every wear and wash, TENCEL™ is a plant-based fiber derived from responsibly sourced wood pulp. It is produced in a closed-loop process that is significantly gentler on both the body and the environment.
We went further: every chemical used in the entire production process — from fiber creation to dyeing and finishing — was carefully analyzed to ensure minimal exposure to endocrine disruptors.
Compared to organic cotton, TENCEL™ offers superior benefits for active use:
Exceptional moisture-wicking to keep you dry and comfortable
Naturally cooling to the touch, even during intense movement
Smoother, silkier feel with better shape retention and less pilling
Every batch is OEKO-TEX® certified, ensuring it meets the highest safety standards for direct skin contact.
This is activewear designed with intention — soft, breathable, and truly safe for your body.

We complete the blend with Roica® V550, a premium bio-based elastane developed by Asahi Kasei.
Unlike conventional spandex, Roica V550 is partially plant-derived and engineered for improved degradability. Independent testing shows it breaks down into CO₂ and water under industrial composting conditions, significantly reducing its long-term persistence in the environment compared to traditional elastanes.
It is Cradle to Cradle Certified at the Gold level for material health, meaning it has been rigorously screened for harmful substances. This contributes to lower overall microplastic impact while delivering the gentle stretch and excellent shape recovery your garments need — so they move with you and maintain their fit over time instead of bagging out.
This combination gives you performance without the heavy synthetic burden.
Why this matters
Most activewear today is made with synthetic fabrics that were never designed with long-term skin contact in mind.
We spend 12–16 hours a day in our clothes. During workouts, sweat opens our pores and increases absorption of whatever is in the fabric. Over time, this constant exposure to microplastics, PFAS, BPA, and other endocrine disruptors adds up.
That’s why we took a different approach.
Instead of accepting industry-standard synthetics, we spent over a year sourcing and testing fabrics to create something better: breathable, high-performance activewear that is intentionally designed to minimize exposure to harmful chemicals while delivering the support and comfort you deserve.
Every fiber, dye, and finishing chemical was carefully chosen with hormonal health in mind.
This isn’t marketing language. It’s a new standard — one that finally puts women’s well-being first.
Royal by design. Safe by nature.
What’s in modern fashion fabric
Modern activewear is often made with synthetic fibers and chemical treatments that were never intended for prolonged skin contact.
Common ingredients include:
Synthetic fibers (polyester, nylon, acrylic) that shed microplastics with every wear and wash
Heavy metals used to fix dyes and intensify color
PFAS added for water and stain resistance
Endocrine-disrupting chemicals that can interfere with hormonal systems
These substances build up in the body over time. During workouts, sweat increases skin absorption, allowing microplastics, PFAS, and other compounds to enter organs, tissues, and even umbilical cord blood.
We believe women deserve better than this compromise.
That’s why every fabric we use is chosen with one clear priority: minimize exposure to harmful chemicals while delivering real performance.
